Writing BEFORE MY TEARS FALL What kind of friendship is this, my friend, That knows my sorrow before I speak? Before a single tear escapes my eyes, You somehow find the silence in my cheeks. I try to hide the wounds inside, I smile when everything feels wrong; I bury my pain beneath my words And pretend that I have still been strong. But somehow, you already know.
