🌙 Whisper of the Old House – A Poetic Journey I. POEM 1. English Poem – “Whisper of the Old House” In evening’s lonely fading light, You call me softly through the night. Yet when I come, no words you show— Should I stay, or should I go? Tell me gently, speak to me, please, What truth hides behind your silent breeze? In your old big house, echoes shout— Some footsteps come, some shadows go out. I wait alone at your trembling door, Hoping you’ll speak just once, once more. For silence hurts more deep than fear— Is someone there, or is no one near? --- 2. Bengali Poem – “পুরনো বাড়ির ফিসফিস” সাঁঝের একাকী নিঃশব্দ আলোয়, তুমি ডেকেছিলে আমায় ভালোয়-ভালোয়। তবু কাছে এলে তুমি নীরব হও— থাকি কি তবে, নাকি চলে যাই গো? বলোরে মুঠোফোনে, বলো আমায় কাছে, কি ঘটে তোমার পুরনো বাড়ির পাশে? ওই বড়ো বাড়িতে অদ্ভুত সব শব্দ, কেউ আসে, কেউ যায়—লাগে কেমন হতবুদ্ধ। তোমার দরজায় দাঁড়িয়ে থাকি একা, ভালোবাসার শ্বাসটুকু যদি দাও দেখা। নীরবতা কখনো ভয়ের চেয়ে বেশি— কেউ কি আছে, নাকি সবই ফাঁকি? --- 3.
