Appears as cream, soft, unseen— The portrait once hung in golden frame, Now gone, yet whispers my name. I kept it as my last capital, Of love’s loss, so emotional. But the frame remains, empty and still, Holding the echo of a vanished will. Did the image fade, or did I? Did truth sleep while dreams stood by?
