A thousand words gather in my heart, But none find the courage to appear. تتجمع آلاف الكلمات في قلبي، لكنها لا تجد الشجاعة لتظهر. For I belong to a different faith, And walk upon another road. فأنا أنتمي إلى دينٍ مختلف، وأسير في طريقٍ آخر. The world may misunderstand my praise, And turn respect into blame. قد يسيء العالم فهم مدحي، ويحوّل الاحترام إلى لومٍ واتهام. What fault is there in admiring goodness? What wrong is there in speaking truth? ما الخطأ في تقدير الخير؟ وما الذنب في قول الحقيقة؟ Why should kindness hide its face, And sincerity live in fear? لماذا يجب أن تخفي اللطف وجهه، ويعيش الصدق في خوف؟ The rivers never ask our religion, Nor do the stars divide the sky. فالأنهار لا تسأل عن ديننا، ولا النجوم تقسم السماء.
