When Destiny Falls Asleep Poem In the silence of unanswered skies, I stood alone with weary eyes, Calling fate with trembling breath, As though my hope had tasted death. “O sleeping destiny, wake for me, Why hide behind eternity? Have I been cursed beneath the stars, To wander life with unseen scars?” The moon looked pale, the night grew cold, Memories turned my heart to old, Every prayer I softly gave Fell like flowers upon a grave. I asked the heavens once again, “Why must my soul endure this pain? If this is but a sacred test, Then why deny my spirit rest?” The winds replied with empty sound, No certain truth could there be found, Yet somewhere deep beneath despair, A fragile light was waiting there.
