Yet, despite this gesture, Israel continued its bombings, even suggesting that its soldiers could now “relax.” This paradox leaves observers confused. On one side, people say: “Israel has won, Hamas has been defeated.” On the other, others claim: “It is Hamas who has achieved victory by surviving and securing attention.” But my personal view goes beyond these immediate interpretations.
