When the image comes and softly lingers, It fades again — like dreams untold. You appear in shapes of light and shadow, Yet never speak the truth I seek. Your face may shine, your eyes may follow, But your silence makes my spirit weak. I have no love for what is hollow, No bond to frames that cannot feel.
