Morality asks what is right. Under Muslim Personal Law, my exclusion is legally correct. There is no disputel about that. But legality alone does not erase moral responsibility—especially within a family. Islamic law is precise. Islamic ethics are compassionate. When a grandson loses his father early, he is not merely a legal position. He is a human being shaped by loss and vulnerability.
