Under Muslim Personal Law, my exclusion from inheritance is legally correct. There is no dispute about that. But legality alone does not erase moral responsibility—especially within a family. Islamic law is precise. Islamic ethics are compassionate. Even when the law does not obligate someone to give, morality still asks a question: What should be done when someone is left behind—not by choice, but by circumstance?
