Death is inevitable, and this fragility gives meaning to life, love, and values. But what about Artificial Intelligence (AI)? Can we call it mortal, or immortal? Man is Mortal Human life is bound by time and biology. Mortality drives humans to create, love, and seek purpose. The knowledge that we will die one day makes our existence meaningful. But AI? AI does not live in the biological sense, so it cannot “die” naturally. It does not age, fall sick, or face death. Instead: AI “dies” only when power is cut off. AI “disappears” when its data is deleted. AI “changes” when updated by programmers. In this sense, AI is not mortal like man, but not truly immortal either.
