Your own brother stands beside you, With an open and faithful hand; Yet you seek another doorway, Thinking there you’ll understand. Go then, if that is what you desire, Open your heart and share their meal; Eat curd and flattened rice with joy, And discover what their welcome feels. Laugh with them beneath their roof, Share their stories, share their days; But remember where your roots are planted, And who stood with you through life's ways. Strangers may speak with gentle words, They may make your heart feel new; But everyone who smiles today May not...
