بين الحاجة والنزاهة

Taking advantage is never a virtue,

استغلال الآخرين ليس فضيلة أبداً،

Yet denying one’s own needs is not a virtue either.

لكن إنكار حاجات النفس ليس فضيلة أيضاً.

Between pride and survival,

بين الكرامة والبقاء،

I stand—silent, yet aware.

أقف صامتاً، لكن واعياً.

I do not wish to rise by stepping on others,

لا أريد أن أرتفع بدوس الآخرين،

Nor do I wish to erase myself in the name of purity.

ولا أريد أن أمحو نفسي باسم الطهارة.

If life demands movement,

إذا طلبت الحياة مني أن أتقدم،

Let it not demand the loss of conscience.

فلا تجعل الثمن فقدان الضمير.

Perhaps from this fragile ground,

ربما من هذه الأرض الهشة،

Something honest will grow—

ينمو شيء صادق—

Not borrowed power,

ليس قوة مستعارة،

بل هوية صاغها الصبر.

إن انحنيت، فليكن للتعلّم،
