Introduction (English)
I am a Madhyamik examinee. Since childhood, my dream was to become a doctor. Wearing a white coat, serving patients, and saving lives gave meaning to my studies and my discipline. For me, becoming a doctor was not only a profession—it was a responsibility and a purpose.
But today, the world is changing rapidly. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is developing day by day and entering almost every department of the medical field. Seeing this change, I have decided not to end my dream, but to postpone it for some time.
This blog explains why.

میں ایک مادھیمک امتحان کا طالب علم ہوں۔ بچپن سے میرا خواب ڈاکٹر بننا تھا۔ سفید کوٹ پہننا، مریضوں کی خدمت کرنا اور جانیں بچانا میری پڑھائی اور محنت کا مقصد تھا۔ میرے لیے ڈاکٹر بننا صرف ایک پیشہ نہیں بلکہ ایک ذمہ داری اور خدمت تھی۔
لیکن آج دنیا تیزی سے بدل رہی ہے۔ مصنوعی ذہانت (AI) روز بروز ترقی کر رہی ہے اور طبی شعبے کے تقریباً ہر حصے میں داخل ہو چکی ہے۔ اسی تبدیلی کو دیکھتے ہوئے میں نے اپنے خواب کو ختم نہیں کیا بلکہ کچھ وقت کے لیے مؤخر کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا ہے۔

My Childhood Dream of Becoming a Doctor (English)
In Indian society, becoming a doctor means respect, stability, and social responsibility. Doctors are trusted, valued, and seen as lifesavers. Like many students, I grew up believing that hard work alone could secure a safe future in medicine.
For years, I never questioned this dream.

ہندوستانی معاشرے میں ڈاکٹر بننے کا مطلب ہے عزت، استحکام اور سماجی خدمت۔ ڈاکٹر پر اعتماد کیا جاتا ہے اور انہیں زندگی بچانے والا سمجھا جاتا ہے۔ بہت سے طلبہ کی طرح میں بھی یہی مانتا تھا کہ محنت ہی ایک محفوظ مستقبل کی ضمانت ہے۔
کئی سالوں تک میں نے اس خواب پر کبھی سوال نہیں اٹھایا۔
The Rapid Growth of AI in the Medical Field (English)
Today, AI can diagnose diseases, read scans, assist in surgeries, analyze reports, and even offer virtual consultations. Tasks that once required years of medical experience can now be done in seconds with the help of machines.
This forced me to think deeply about the future of doctors.

آج AI بیماریوں کی تشخیص کر سکتا ہے، ایکس رے اور MRI پڑھ سکتا ہے، سرجری میں مدد دے سکتا ہے، رپورٹس کا تجزیہ کر سکتا ہے اور آن لائن مشورے بھی فراہم کر سکتا ہے۔ وہ کام جو پہلے سالوں کی محنت مانگتے تھے، اب چند سیکنڈ میں ہو جاتے ہیں۔

How AI Is Changing Medical Departments (English)
AI is transforming diagnosis, radiology, surgery, pathology, and telemedicine. It increases speed and accuracy but also reduces dependence on human effort in some areas. This transformation brings efficiency—but also uncertainty.

AI تشخیص، ریڈیالوجی، سرجری، پیتھالوجی اور ٹیلی میڈیسن کو بدل رہا ہے۔ یہ رفتار اور درستگی بڑھاتا ہے، مگر کچھ جگہوں پر انسانی ضرورت کو کم بھی کرتا ہے۔ یہ تبدیلی سہولت کے ساتھ ساتھ غیر یقینی صورتحال بھی لاتی ہے۔
Will Doctors Become Irrelevant? (English)
The answer is no—but their role will change.
AI has no emotions. It cannot feel pain, show empathy, or take moral responsibility. Human connection, trust, and compassion will always matter in healthcare.
Still, the uncertainty cannot be ignored.

Why I Chose to Postpone My Dream (English)
Medical education requires many years, high financial cost, and emotional strength. Entering such a long journey without understanding future changes feels risky.
Postponing my dream gives me time to observe, learn new skills, and adapt to reality.

Pressure on Madhyamik Students (English)
After Madhyamik, students are expected to decide their entire future. At this age, confusion is natural. Taking time to think should not be seen as failure.

مادھیمک کے بعد طلبہ سے توقع کی جاتی ہے کہ وہ اپنی پوری زندگی کا فیصلہ کر لیں۔ اس عمر میں الجھن ہونا فطری ہے۔ سوچنے کے لیے وقت لینا ناکامی نہیں ہے۔
Alternative Paths in Healthcare (English)
Even without becoming a doctor immediately, fields like medical research, biomedical engineering, health data science, public health, and medical AI are growing rapidly.

AI Is a Tool, Not an Enemy (English)
AI should support doctors, not replace humanity. The future belongs to those who can work alongside technology with wisdom.
