جینے کا مقصد جیسے کھو جائے،

ہاتھوں سے ریت کی طرح سب بہہ جائے۔

خاموشی کا بوجھ فضا میں چھا جائے،

دل کا درد کسی سے نہ کہا جائے۔

نیند آئے مگر سکون نہ لائے،

اندھیروں کا سایہ ساتھ ہی لائے۔

یہ آرام نہیں، یہ بھاگنے کا راستہ ہے،

خاموش بارش میں ڈوبتا واسطہ ہے۔

نہ باہر کوئی راستہ، نہ اندر روشنی،

دل کی گہرائی میں بس ہے خاموشی۔

اے میری قسمت، کہاں کھو گئی؟

مجھے تنہا چھوڑ کر کیوں سو گئی؟

ایک روتا دل، ایک جاگتی روح،

اب بھی ڈھونڈ رہی اپنی کھوئی ہوئی دھوپ۔
