At the address where I was born,

my heart still drifts at silent dawn.

In broken lanes and fading skies,

old childhood softly breathes and cries.

پیدائش کے اُس پتے پر

آج بھی دل بہہ جاتا ہے،

پرانی گلیوں کی خاموشی میں

کوئی خواب سا رہ جاتا ہے۔

I do not know why I am here,

among the crowds, among the fear.

I smile outside, yet deep inside,

a lonely storm refuses to hide.

نہیں معلوم کیوں آیا ہوں

میں اس دنیا کے میلے میں،

چہرے ہنستے رہتے ہیں مگر

ویرانی ہے دل کے ریلے میں۔
