My beloved, show yourself to me,

I sit alone where shadows be.

In darkness deep I wait for light,

Through silent hours of endless night.

میرے محبوب، تو مجھ سے دکھا دے،

میں تو بیٹھا ہوں ایک اندھیرے میں۔

کب تو کیا ہو جائے، کون جانے،

بس ایک بار مجھ سے دکھا دے۔

تیری یاد چراغوں جیسی جلتی ہے،

آ جا اس سے پہلے امید بجھ جائے،
