“O Lord, what storm has fallen today? Why must I wander inside these walls this way? Where shall I hide this face of shame, Even on joyful days my heart burns in pain.
Outside the streets glow bright with light, People laugh beneath the festive night, Yet inside me broken rivers flow, Carrying wounds no one will know.
My heart lies shattered into pieces four, Like wounded birds that cannot soar. Still somewhere beyond despair and fear, Perhaps Mercy listens to every tear.
For darkness never forever stays, And broken souls still find their ways. Even beneath ashes embers remain, And wounded hearts can rise again.”

“ہائے اے خدا، یہ کیا ہو گیا، گھر کے اندر ہی گھومنا نصیب ہو گیا۔ کہاں دکھاؤں یہ شرمندہ سا چہرہ، خوشیوں کے دن میں بھی دل ٹوٹا گہرا۔
باہر گلیوں میں چراغاں کی بہار، لوگ ہنستے ہیں جشن کی رات کے ساتھ۔ مگر میرے اندر غم کی ندیاں بہتی ہیں، جن کے زخم کسی کو دکھائی نہیں دیتے ہیں۔
