Poem Title: The Depth That Was Never Sea I am your lover from an ancient page, A name forgotten by the turning age. Though all surrounds me, wealth and light, I walk unseen through crowded night. I hold the map of wounds untold, Of winters harsh and summers cold. Yet to your eyes I am unknown, A passing wind, a silent stone. You seek to drown where depths invite, Where darkness whispers false delight. You dream beneath a mystic glare, Believing oceans gather there. But I have stood upon that land, Have touched its dust with trembling hand. There lies no sea, no endless blue, Only mountains circling you. A prison built of pride and fear, An echo chamber drawing near. The depth you chase is not profound, It is a wall without a sound. Come back from cliffs of painted lies, Look at the truth with waking eyes. For love is not the deepest grave, But light enough the lost to save.
