✍️ English Poem
“Echoes of Kolkata”
At midnight’s call, we reached the place,
My son in Haji House found his space.
Upon the mat, I closed my eyes,
And memories rose like silent skies.
I saw the day of youthful flight,
Kolkata first, my heart’s delight.
Around 1990, with friends I came,
The city alive, never the same.
Now streets have changed, the buildings new,
Yet monuments whisper a timeless view.
Old temples stand, the graves still speak,
History’s breath in the present we seek.
So oft I walk where ages blend,
To keep my spirit strong till end.
For memory roots the soul so deep,
And in those echoes, strength we keep.
