Almost all men have seen the bees,

Their little world in humming trees.

Divided they live in ordered grace—

The Queen, the Drones, the Workers all,

The Queen lays eggs in cells so neat,

Life awakens where chambers meet.

From cell to cell, their fates are born—

A Queen, a Drone, or Worker sworn.

The Queen lives long, her reign is deep,

While others labor, guard, and keep.
