THE MOON

The moon,
A companion of the Earth,
Has no light of its own,
Yet shines upon us at night.

Its glow,
Only the reflection of sunlight,
Still feels like magic.

If one walks
In the moonlight of a winter night,
The heart grows lighter,
Freed from depression.

If one reads or writes
Beneath its gentle beams,
The eyes may gain strength,
And clarity return.

A boat journey,
Guided by the silver path of the moon,
On a quiet winter night,
Refreshes the body,
And heals the soul.

From childhood,
It calls to us softly,
Inspires us to duty,
To dream, to act.

So lovingly we name it—
Our maternal uncle,
Forever near,
Forever kind.

đŸĒļ Philosophy

1. Borrowed light, real impact → The moon has no light of its own, yet it brightens our world. Similarly, even if we reflect others’ wisdom, we can still illuminate lives.

2. Healing power of beauty → Moonlight symbolizes calmness and natural therapy—showing how beauty in nature heals the human mind and body.

3. Inspiration for life → From childhood, the moon inspires dreams, imagination, and responsibility—symbolizing growth from innocence to maturity.

4. Cultural kinship → Calling the moon “maternal uncle” reflects how humans seek intimacy with nature—making the cosmos feel like family.

👉 Thus, the poem teaches us that life’s true light may be borrowed, but its impact is real; and that nature, though silent, guides and heals us like family.
