How do I make new words tonight,

When silence holds the fading light?

How do I tame the ache inside,

The thirsty heart I try to hide?

Words dissolve before they rise,

Tears speak louder than the skies.

If love is water, where is the stream

That quenches the fire of an unseen dream?

O heart, why do you thirst so deep?

Why do you wake when the world is asleep?

Perhaps new words are born in pain—

From broken breaths, from gentle rain.

Tonight I’ll drink my longing slow,

Let quiet rivers within me flow.

And maybe then, through fragile scars,

New words will bloom like midnight stars.

কীভাবে বানাই নতুন শব্দ, আজ রাত জেগে?

নীরবতা ঢাকে আলোটুকু, ক্লান্ত ভোরের বেগে।

যেন শুকিয়ে গেছে অনুভবের নদে?

শব্দগুলো মুছে যায় উঠবার আগেই,

তখন হয়তো ক্ষতগুলো ভেদ করে দূর তারার মতো—

উঠে আসবে নতুন শব্দ, আলো হয়ে, ক্ষণিক রাতের ততো।

कैसे गढ़ूँ मैं नये शब्दों की डोरी?

जब चुप्पी ने ओढ़ ली है रात की चादर पूरी।

दिल क्यों इतना प्यासा है, बुझता ही नहीं,

मानो कोई सूखी नदी बहती हो कहीं।

शब्द तो उठने से पहले ही टूट जाते हैं,

आँसू ही आसमान को अपनी भाषा बताते हैं।

अगर प्यार पानी है, तो कहाँ है वो झरना,

जो दिल की आग को कर सके तरना?

दिल क्यों इतनी गहरी प्यास लिए चलता है?
