Yet covered softly in hues of gold.

The hollow sky, the frozen sea,
Still dream of what they long to be.

A veil of beauty hides despair,
Yet truth still moves within the air.
This world is blank, yet shines so bright—

خالی پن کے پیچھے کی خوبصورتی
دنیا خالی ہے—ایک ان کہی کہانی،
پھر بھی لپٹی ہے سنہری روشنی کی نشانی۔
کیوں خالی پن نے پہن رکھا ہے تاج،
جب خاموشی خود کھول دیتی ہے ہر پردہ آج؟

اے میرے عزیز، اے میرے عزیز،
خالی پن بھی آتا ہے دل کے قریب۔
سنّا آسمان، ٹھہرا سمندر،
پھر بھی خواب دیکھتے ہیں کچھ بننے کے اندر۔

خوبصورتی چھپا دیتی ہے درد کی بات،
پر سچ کی خوشبو پھر بھی رہتی ہے ساتھ۔
دنیا خالی ہے، پھر بھی روشن ہے ہر گھڑی—
