Across the River of the Unanswered Heart

What is lost is never found with ease,

What comes unasked, the heart can’t seize.

Why does my heart still ache and stir?

I don’t know the reason, nor its cure.

I stand on this shore with questions bare,

Calling your name into empty air.

Across the river, you silently stay,

A distant truth that drifts away.

Is love a river without a shore,

Or am I lost in wanting more?

If you are the bank I’ll never reach,

Why does my soul still try to speak?

Tell me once, before silence grows—

Why the heart longs for what it knows?

غیر جواب دل کی ندی

جو کھو گیا، وہ آسانی سے نہیں ملتا،

جو خود آ جائے، دل اسے تھام نہیں پاتا۔

دل کیوں اب بھی بے چین رہتا ہے،

اس درد کی وجہ سمجھ نہیں آتی۔

اس کنارے میں سوال لیے کھڑا ہوں،

ہوا میں تیرا نام پکار رہا ہوں۔

ندی کے اُس پار تم خاموش کھڑے ہو،

ایک سچ جو بس دور ہی رہتا ہے۔

کیا محبت بے کنار ندی ہے،

یا میرا ہی غرور رکاوٹ بنی ہے؟

اگر تم وہ کنارہ ہو جو دور ہے،

تو روح کیوں اب بھی تمہیں پکارتی ہے؟

ایک بار بتا دو، خامشی سے پہلے—

کچھ خواہشیں جواب کیوں نہیں چاہتیں؟
