Law decides what is permitted.
Morality asks what is right.
Under Muslim Personal Law, my exclusion is legally correct. There is no argument about that. But legality alone does not erase moral responsibility—especially within a family.
Islamic law is precise.
Islamic ethics are compassionate.
When a grandson loses his father early in life, he is not merely a legal position. He is a human being shaped by loss, insecurity, and dependence on family support. Even when the law closes the door, morality still asks whether a window can remain open.

قانون یہ طے کرتا ہے کہ کیا جائز ہے۔
اخلاق یہ سوال کرتا ہے کہ کیا درست ہے۔
مسلم پرسنل لا کے تحت میرا محروم ہونا قانونی طور پر درست ہے، اس میں کوئی اختلاف نہیں۔ مگر صرف قانونی درستگی خاندانی اخلاقی ذمہ داری کو ختم نہیں کر دیتی۔
اسلامی قانون واضح ہے،
مگر اسلامی اخلاق رحم اور ہمدردی سے بھرپور ہیں۔
جو پوتا کم عمری میں باپ کھو دے، وہ صرف ایک قانونی حیثیت نہیں ہوتا۔ وہ ایک ایسا انسان ہوتا ہے جو پہلے ہی نقصان اور عدم تحفظ کا سامنا کر چکا ہوتا ہے۔ قانون دروازہ بند کر دے تو بھی اخلاق یہ پوچھتا ہے کہ کیا کوئی کھڑکی کھلی رہ سکتی ہے۔
When Silence Becomes a Decision
جب خاموشی بھی ایک فیصلہ بن جائے
English:
After my grandfather’s death, there was no discussion.
No conversation.
No acknowledgment of his unfulfilled wish.
Silence took over.
In families, silence is never neutral. Silence becomes a decision. It decides whose pain matters and whose pain is inconvenient. By remaining silent, legality was chosen over empathy.
No one said, “We know this hurts you.”
No one said, “Your grandfather wanted something for you.”
No one said, “Let us at least talk.”
That silence was heavier than an outright refusal.

دادا کے انتقال کے بعد کوئی بات چیت نہیں ہوئی۔
کوئی گفتگو نہیں۔
ان کی ادھوری خواہش کا کوئی ذکر نہیں۔
خاموشی چھا گئی۔
خاندانوں میں خاموشی کبھی غیر جانبدار نہیں ہوتی۔ خاموشی بھی ایک فیصلہ بن جاتی ہے۔ یہ طے کرتی ہے کہ کس کا درد اہم ہے اور کس کا درد نظرانداز کیا جا سکتا ہے۔ خاموشی کے ذریعے ہمدردی پر قانونی سہولت کو ترجیح دی گئی۔

Every excluded person hears this sentence at least once:
“You have no legal right.”
Technically, it is true.
Emotionally, it ends everything.
It ends dialogue.
It ends hope.
It ends understanding.
Once law is used as a shield, humanity steps back. Family decisions move from fairness to permission. And when fairness disappears, relationships quietly begin to collapse.

ہر محروم شخص یہ جملہ کم از کم ایک بار ضرور سنتا ہے:
“تمہارا کوئی قانونی حق نہیں۔”
تکنیکی طور پر یہ درست ہے،
مگر جذباتی طور پر یہ ہر چیز ختم کر دیتا ہے۔
یہ گفتگو ختم کر دیتا ہے۔
یہ امید ختم کر دیتا ہے۔
یہ سمجھ بوجھ کا راستہ بند کر دیتا ہے۔

The Psychological Cost of Exclusion

Inheritance exclusion is not only financial—it is psychological.
It creates a deep internal fracture:
Feeling lesser within the same bloodline
Becoming invisible in family decisions
Constant anxiety about future security
Doubt about one’s own worth
You are not jealous of strangers.
You are hurt by those closest to you.
That pain is complex and deeply personal.
Urdu:
وراثت سے محرومی صرف مالی نقصان نہیں، یہ نفسیاتی زخم بھی ہے۔
یہ اندر ایک گہری دراڑ پیدا کرتی ہے:
اپنے ہی خون میں کم تر محسوس کرنا
خاندانی فیصلوں میں غیر مرئی ہو جانا
مستقبل کی مستقل بے چینی
اپنی قدر پر شک
یہ حسد اجنبیوں سے نہیں ہوتا،
یہ زخم اپنوں سے لگتا ہے۔
اور یہی درد سب سے زیادہ گہرا ہوتا ہے۔
Faith and the Silent Inner Conflict
ایمان اور خاموش اندرونی کشمکش

For a believer, this situation creates an inner struggle.
On one side: trust in God’s decree.
On the other: human exhaustion and fear.
This conflict does not weaken faith.
It proves humanity.
Faith does not demand emotional numbness.
It allows honesty before God.
Urdu:
ایک صاحبِ ایمان انسان کے اندر اس صورتحال میں کشمکش پیدا ہوتی ہے۔
ایک طرف تقدیر پر یقین،
دوسری طرف انسانی تھکن اور خوف۔
یہ کشمکش ایمان کو کمزور نہیں کرتی،
یہ انسان ہونے کی دلیل ہے۔
ایمان جذبات کو مارنے کا مطالبہ نہیں کرتا،
وہ اللہ کے سامنے سچ بولنے کی اجازت دیتا ہے۔
Timing, Not Merit
قابلیت نہیں، وقت
English:
Inheritance often has little to do with merit.
It has everything to do with timing.
Those born at the “right” time benefit.
Those who lose parents early lose position and protection.
This may not be intentional injustice—
but its impact is still real.
Urdu:
وراثت اکثر قابلیت سے نہیں ملتی،
یہ وقت سے جڑی ہوتی ہے۔
جو درست وقت پر ہوتے ہیں، وہ فائدے میں رہتے ہیں۔
جو جلدی باپ کھو دیتے ہیں، وہ مقام اور تحفظ کھو دیتے ہیں۔
یہ جان بوجھ کر کیا گیا ظلم نہ بھی ہو،

Choosing Dignity
وقار کا انتخاب
English:
In the end, there is a personal choice:
to live in bitterness or to move forward with dignity.
Dignity does not deny pain.
It refuses to let pain define identity.
You may not inherit land,
but you can inherit strength.
Urdu:
آخرکار ایک ذاتی انتخاب ہوتا ہے:
کڑواہٹ میں جینا یا وقار کے ساتھ آگے بڑھنا۔
وقار درد کو نہیں جھٹلاتا،
مگر اسے شناخت نہیں بننے دیتا۔
زمین نہ ملے،
مگر طاقت ورثے میں مل سکتی ہے۔
