Human understanding does not live only in facts or only in faith.

It lives in the space between them.

Reason asks for proof.

عقل ثبوت مانگتی ہے۔

Faith asks for meaning.

ایمان معنی تلاش کرتا ہے۔

When proof is missing, meaning does not automatically disappear.

جب ثبوت موجود نہ ہو، تو معنی خود بخود ختم نہیں ہو جاتے۔

Imam Hussain’s refusal to bow before injustice speaks to humanity itself.

امام حسینؑ کا ظلم کے سامنے جھکنے سے انکار، پوری انسانیت سے مخاطب ہے۔

The belief that people of other faiths wished to stand with him reflects this universality.

یہ یقین کہ دوسرے مذاہب کے لوگ بھی ان کے ساتھ کھڑے ہونا چاہتے تھے، اسی عالمگیریت کی عکاسی کرتا ہے۔

Even if history cannot verify it, conscience understands it.

چاہے تاریخ اس کی تصدیق نہ کر سکے، ضمیر اسے سمجھ لیتا ہے۔

This Writing Makes No Demands

یہ تحریر کوئی مطالبہ نہیں کرتی
